Itty Bitty Auction
In June of 2009 the Endowment Committee proposed an Itty Bitty Challenge and Fundraiser. AQSG members and friends participated by making a 4" (finished) block that was an Itty Bitty version of a larger block pattern. The blocks could be pieced, appliquéd, or embroidered and worked by hand or machine. Completed blocks were set to AQSG with a $5 donation per block. Members of the Endowment committee used the blocks to make wall quilts.
The “unfinished” quilt tops were displayed at Seminar 2009 in San Jose, California. Bonnie Dwyer organized an eBay auction of the “finished” quilts that December. Images of the finished quilts from the popular Itty Bitty Quilt Challenge may be seen below.
