Seminar Highlights

Seminar 2009 in San Jose, California was a wonderful homecoming of sorts for AQSG!  AQSG was founded in Mill Valley California in 1980 following the first gathering in 1979 of interested scholars, researchers and enthusiasts. How fitting to celebrate 30 years of American Quilt Study Group Seminars in the state where it all began!

Joyce Gross

Friends and admirers gathered to honor Charter member Joyce Gross during the opening Welcome Event held at the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles.  We enjoyed the remarkable display of quilts from Joyce’s exceptional collection and were treated to a dazzling reception featuring true “California” cuisine.
